GUJRAT: A 10-years old boy and elderly person at 55 years age become victim of ex-Prime Minister’s rally here in two different incidents on Friday.
According to media reports, in the first incident, a 10-year-old boy, identified as Hamid Chughtai was allegedly killed after being hit by a vehicle in ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s ‘homecoming rally’ in Gujrat on Friday.
The boy killed in the incident was son of a rickshaw driver. His uncle claimed that he begged for help but no one stopped. The relatives protested on main GT Road against the ruling party.
In another incident, a 55-year-old man died after being hit by a motorcycle which was part of a rally being led by ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The man killed by motorcyclist was identified as Khalid.
According to victim's brother, the incident took place near Chak Paireena area of Lala Musa. Brother of the deceased told media that Khalid was returning home after offering prayers when he was hit by a speeding motorcyclist. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
