ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has decided to hear cases of both Indian girl Dr Uzma and her Pakistani Husband Tahir by clubbing the petitions filed by both of them.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of IHC took up the case of Uzma’s husband, Tahir on Monday.
Fazal Elahi counsel for the petitioner said Indian woman can be stopped from going to India till the decision of this case.
First secretary of Indian high commission Puishin Sindh was also present during the hearing.
The court while issuing notice to Indian high commission on petition of Tahir issued orders for clubbing the two petitions for hearing
The hearing of the case was adjourned till May 22.
It is vital to mention here that Dr Uzma had filed a petition in IHC seeking permission to leave for India while his husband Tahir filed petition seeking meeting with her wife and stopping her in Pakistan.
