ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has ordered to hand over the tortured child maid Tayyaba to Pakistan Sweet Homes (PSH) and she will stay therein till the determination of her parents.

A 2-member bench of SC presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar took up for hearing suo motu notice Tayyaba child maid torture case Wednesday.
Medical report of Tayyaba was presented in the court.

CJP remarked “ thanks God, the girl has been recovered. Only Tayyaba can tell about the real facts. She should not stay with her parents so that she could record her statement without any fear. We have to reach the truth. We will decide the case speedily. DIG Islamabad should investigate the matter transparently and bring the facts to fore. Progress in the case be informed on day to day basis.

On inquiring by the court, father of minor girl Muhammad Azam told the court he can not speak Urdu.

CJP remarked “ I will talk to you in Punjabi.

He told the CJP that he had three children of which Tayyaba was his eldest.

CJP inquired how hew came to know  that the girl was subjected to torture. How  she reached Islamabad.

Azam father of the girl replied he came to know through TV channel that she was tortured. Nadra Bibi, a woman had taken her on the promise that she would get her job. Nadra Bibi had said that the girl would not be taken out of Faisalabad.

CJP inquired were there torture marks on the body of the girl when she was recovered.

Father of girl replied “ yes there were torture marks on her body. Rs 3000 salary was decided with Nadra Bibi and she had given Rs 18000 in advance.

CJP inquired “ if there is TV in your home.

Azam replied he had no TV set in his home.

CJP inquired “ when you saw torture marks on the body of the girl then you asked from whom about these marks.

Azam told when the judge handed over his daughter to him then he asked from him how Tayyaba received injuries. But he told nothing about this matter.

He further told “ the judge got me a home in Burma town and handed over a mobile sim to  me. Later he  asked me to  take out the sim from mobile phone because this way the home can be located. No contact could be made for five days. Then we were given a form and we were asked to affix thumb impression on it that I forgave the judge for the sake of Tayyaba. And then we took Tayyaba  to home.

He said that Nadra Bibi took him and his brother  to the house of lawyer Zahoor and we met  Tayyaba therein.     

Later Islamabad police filed medical report of Tayyaba in the court. According to police the statement of Tayyaba has not been recorded. The case has been  registered on the report of Tayyaba. The forensic review of first picture of Tayyaba is being taken.

The CJP inquired from Assistant Commissioner (AC) if Nadra Bibi was contacted following the recovery of girl. What was the reason that statement of the girl was not recorded.

AC replied police sent the girl to him  after her recovery. Her medical report has been received and case has been registered on the report the girl.

The court ordered that DNA report should be filed before it the same day when it is received.

The court ordered that statements of all the claimants of the girl be recorded and  inquiry report be filed  within 10 days

The hearing of the case was adjourned.
