RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has directed to continue counter-terrorism operations and stabilizing the already cleared areas, military media wing said.

According to ISPR press release, COAS gave these directions while chairing 198th Corps Commanders’ conference in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa also directed to intensify efforts for return of Temporary Displaced Persons.

He congratulated efforts of Strategic Organizations on successful test fire of Babur-III missile. The Army Chief vowed to render full support to all state institutions working for the National Security.

The forum appreciated performance of Military Courts during the prescribed duration which resulted into reduction of terrorism.

The forum also expressed satisfaction on progress of Operation Zarb-e-Azb and its positive effects on internal security.

The Corps Commanders’ conference reiterated Pakistan Army’s resolve to be prepared to respond to all types of threat.
