RAWALPINDI: The bodies of eleven Pakistanis, who had drowned near the Libyan coast on Jan 31, arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday.

According to details, bodies of the deceased in this tragedy were shifted to Islamabad through a private airline from Jeddah. However, relatives of deceased persons faced difficulties in collecting the bodies of their beloved ones, due to inappropriate arrangements of Civil Aviation.

On this occasion, the officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Civil Aviation and overseas Pakistanis were present, who received dead bodies and handed over to relatives.  Member National Assembly Chaudhry Jaffar Iqbal was also present on the scene to offer condolence to relatives of deceased one.

According to foreign office, the bodies arrived in Islamabad included Waleed Akram, Numan Ali, Kashif Jameel, Mazhar Hussain, Farhan Ali and Azmat Bibi (Gujrat), Ikramul Haq and Qasim Beig (Mandi Bahauddin), Tanzeelur Rehman (Sialkot), Muhammad Uzair (Sargodha) and Mirza Ghulam Fareed (Rawalpindi).
