ISLAMABAD: IHC showed resentment over the non implementing court orders by Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal to remove Sit-in from Faizabad and asked that why not show cause notice should be served on him.
Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui of Islamabad High Court (IHC) after hearing Faizabad sit-in case on Friday has issued verdict in black & white.
Verdict underscored the sanctity of court’s order and grilled interior minister over not implementing court’s order in true letter & spirit regarding Faizabad sit-in.
“How interior minister stopped administration from implementing court’s orders regarding wiping out Faizabad sit-in? Their activities are tantamount to terrorism. It is beyond understanding that how one can surpass court orders whether he is a Prime Minister or Interior minister?” the court verdict stated.
It is further said that Ahsan Iqbal can be served show cause notice against the action he performed over judicial orders because it is about to degrade the court which comes in the ambit of contempt of court.
The high court stated in the verdict to impose travel ban on those who were nominated in Raja Zafar-ul-Haq report, adding agencies should clarify the stance roaming that they (agencies) are backing sit-in.
“Khatam-e-Nabuwwat is the belief of every Muslim, few people can’t be allowed to take it personal, and Faizabad sit-in is not freedom of expression, its anti state activity”, the court order stated.
The court adjourned the hearing till 27 September.
