She says that the PPP is the real party of Shaheed Bhutto’s workers.
Accompanied by a large number of political workers, Naheed Khan made her way to the ECP office in Islamabad and applied for a separate party.
Later, she told media persons that there is no registered party in the commission with the name of PPP. The other party registered in the ECP bears name of Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP), whose President is Makhdoom Amin Fahim.
Ms Khan drew media attention toward President Zardari’s statement, in which he said that PPP was an NGO, not a political party.
She said that it was her right to seek registration of the PPP to keep the philosophy of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto alive.
She also submitted details of her intra-party elections; according to which Naheed Khan is President and Fayyaz Khan is the General Secretary.
