During a press conference at Lahore s Services Hospital on late Friday, YDA representatives announced the decision to end strike and demanded from government to address their demands including service structure and action against those involved in doctors’ torture in Gujranwala.
Young doctors will hold a session of general council on January 6 to decide their future course of action.
The YDA went on strike when doctors including Dr Kashif Bilal – president of the YDA Gujranwala chapter – were arrested for torturing Dr Anwar Aman, medical superintendent (MS) of Gujranwala District Headquarters Hospital. The arrested people had also ransacked office of the MS.
