Ijaz blames Gen Beg for Bahawalpur crash

FAISALABAD: Former federal minister Ijaz-ul-Haq has said that General(R) Aslam Beg was the mastermind of Bahalwalpur crash and he would take the matter to Supreme Court.
It is pertinent to mention here that C-130 of PAF was crashed on 17 August 1987 near Bahawalpur in which the than President and COAS General Zia-ul-Haq and some other senior officials including some Generals of Pak Army and some US officials were killed

While talking to Online, during his visit to Faisalabad elder son of General Zia-ul-Haq told this scribe that former Chief of Army Staff General Aslam Beg had hatched a conspiracy of imposing martial law in 1988. The apex court has also held responsible Beg and Durrani in Asghar Khan case.
“Supreme Court should form interim government to hold the elections in the country”, he added.
He said that he is joining PML(N) unconditionally . He said that Aiwan-e-Sadar has become the center of horse-trading with the help of agencies and selling and purchasing of the politicians are at its peak.
