Addressing a cheque distribution ceremony among the affected people in Karachi on Saturday evening‚ he said the amount would be paid by the Ministry of Labour irrespective of whether or not the employee was registered.
He said this would be in additional to four hundred thousand rupees announced by the Federal Government‚ three hundred thousand rupees by Sindh Government and two hundred thousand rupees by President of PPP Women Wing Faryal Talpur.
The Prime Minister said the Ministry of Labour would pay five hundred thousand rupees each to the heirs of victims of fire tragedy in a factory in Lahore.
The Prime Minister also referred to the Fridays' violence on the occasion of Youm-e-Ishq-e-Rasool and said we should lodge protest peacefully to convey message of love and peace to the world.
He said the Government is taking up the issue of blasphemous film at all relevant forums.
Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah said police and judicial inquires are in progress and reports would be made public.
Governors of Sindh and Punjab also spoke on the occasion and expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and affected people.
