ISLAMABAD: Former President Pervez Musharraf Sunday said that Government should abide by the Supreme Court verdict and should write letter to Swiss courts.

In an interview with a private TV channel former President said that Supreme Court is a superior court and its verdict should be respected. He said that during our tenure Swiss case was pending and NAB was investigating but unfortunately no decision could be made, which is unfortunate.

He said decisions should always be made in the best of national interest. It is national interest to keep good relations with all countries including US. No emotional decisions should be made. He said that US should have apologised on the Silala incident in a day or two and if they weren’t apologising than government should have forced them to.

In response to a question he said that after announcement of election date and establishment of care taker set up he would return and definitely participate in the elections.

He said that during his tenure by imposing emergency he made no mistake but instead saved Pakistan.

He said during his 9 year tenure he strengthened democracy.

He said that he had no knowledge of presence of OBL in the country adding that we should not level charges against our own institutions. Even CIA was in the dark when 9/11 happened.
