Kamra attack: Toll of martyrs rises to two

ATTOCK: The toll of martyrs in Kamra airbase attack rose to two when another injured soldier of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) succumbed to his injuries during treatment in the hospital Friday, MEDIA REPORTS SAID.
According to sources, Iqbal could not survive after being injured during Thurday’s battle when militants dressed in uniforms and armed with guns and rocket launchers stormed PAF base Kamra, sparking heavy clashes that left nine militants and a security official dead while a plane was also damaged.

Later, the banned outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed the responsibility of the attack.
On the other hand, two FIRs of Kamra Air base attack have been registered at the Saddar police station today.
The FIRs were registered on the complaints of Flight Lieutenant Officer and police station’s SHO under Anti-Terrorists Act of the government of Pakistan.
Two different FIRs bearing Nos. 327 and 328 naming nine unidentified terrorists have been registered.
