LAHORE: The Prime Minister Friday assured the PML-Q senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi that PML-Q parliamentarians would be given development funds equal to the PPP parliamentarians.

Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf expressed these views during a special meeting, which was held at the Governor's House.

During the meeting, complete satisfaction was expressed over the fact that PML-Q and the PPP alliance based on mutual trust and respect is positively moving forward.

Both the leaders were sure that in the next general election the alliance of the two parties would emerge as the biggest electoral force and the opponents would be running around hiding their faces.

PM Ashraf and the Deputy PM on this occasion also exchanged views at some length regarding political matters and the peoples’ problems. Steps are being taken for overcoming the energy crisis and matters pertaining to the two parties’ alliance also figured during the meeting.

The Prime Minister said that he is giving priority and full attention to the problem of energy crisis.

Ch Parvez Elahi expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister over expressing the sentiments that extraordinary services rendered for protection of democracy by Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi are very much appreciable.

He also welcomed the announcement by the Prime Minister that PML-Q is a major ally party of the ruling party and it will neither be ignored nor denied the rightful position on any occasion and that we would continue seeking guidance from wisdom and statesmanship of Ch Shujat Hussain.

The Prime Minister also assured that PML-Q parliamentarians would be given development funds equal to the PPP parliamentarians and both the parties would contest the next general election together.
