No end to electricity load shedding: Kaira

MUZAFFARGARH: Dashing any hopes of end to menace of load shedding, Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira Friday underlined that problem of electricity load shedding cannot end even if all available resources in the country were utilised.
Talking to the media in Muzaffargarh on Friday‚ he said power generation has gone up to 14000 megawatt and the shortfall now stands at 3700 Megawatt.

Qamar Zaman Kaira along with Ch Ahmad Mukhtar briefed media on electricity situation.
Kaira said that electricity generation will improve in next few days with more water inflows in the dams and restoration of Chashma power plant.
The Information Minister regretted the attitude of the Punjab government on the issue of load shedding. He said the PML-N - the largest opposition party - should stop drama of protests on the national issue and instead share its inputs to address the crisis.
Speaking on the occasion‚ Minister for Water and Power Chaudhary Ahmad Mukhtar said restoration of transmission lines in Muzaffargarh has been completed.
