According to details, despite the sky rocketing prices children and women are this time more eager to select unique design of clothes to wear on the day of Eid ul Fitr.
A large number of people start moving towards the shopping malls in the federal capital soon after the Iftar and evening prayers while this buying spree continues till the last day of the holy month.
This shopping passion is expected to reach at its peak from this weekend when salaried segments would jump into it after collecting their salaries.
With the increasing numbers of people for shopping and due to lack of traffic sense traffic situation is likely to become severe in busiest markets of the cities in coming few days. As the number of women and children to get their desires dresses, prices of these items increased by 10 to 15 percent as compared to their actual price.
During these shopping season markets are fully illuminated with colorful lights and shops decorated with colored lights that attract people looking for items, ranging from clothes to footwear.
Due to sky rocketing prices of things window shopping by middle class is also on its full swing where people found moving from shop to shop asking the prices of goods. They complained about rising prices during Ramadan, however, they cannot resist buying gifts for their family members and friends for Eid.
They said shopkeepers sold items at exorbitant rates, because they knew people had to buy these items for Eid in any case. Inflation may have severely crippled them, but these were unanimous in saying that Eid meant happiness, and they had every reason to shop.
During the survey shopkeepers told that despite the high prices large number of people are demanding foreign brands. Shopkeepers told that people are also frequenting readymade garments. Shopkeepers were seems happy with sale and the profit they earning from customers.
