Work underway to computerize record of jails throughout Punjab

RAWALPINDI: Punjab Government is taking practical steps to computerize record of all jails throughout the province.
According to Sources, work is underway to maintain record of all jails stretching Punjab while three months timeframe has been given to complete and collect all necessary data in this regard.

According to Sources, work is underway to maintain record of all jails stretching Punjab while three months timeframe has been given to complete and collect all necessary data in this regard.
The procedure will ensure that record is well maintained and will ensure computerize system will help to identify the prisoners in a swift manner.
The work has been started from Kot Lakhpat and Camp Jail while the process will enable to locate the prisoners who are languishing in various jails in Punjab.
Computerization of jail record would be the first step for the betterment of jail condition as it is necessary in the present age of computer while it will help immensely in the elimination of crimes in the country, sources added.
