DIR: At least three people were killed and seven others injured in a powerful remote-controlled blast in Daug Darra, officials said on Saturday.

The injured and bodies have been shifted to nearby District Headquarters Hospital. Four injured are said to be in critical state.

According to local police, the remote-controlled explosion targeted a vehicle in Upper Dir district’s Daug Darra at 8am (local time) Saturday morning. The vehicle was en route from Shotkas to Sringal.

It should be mentioned here that this is the area where Taliban got off the ground their insurgency.

Saturday’s attack was a sequence of terror activities in the Upper Dir tribal region in the terrorism-hit northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

No one immediately claimed responsibility.

Meanwhile a bomb ripped through Pisht Kharaw area of Peshwar, which fortunately did not cause any casualty.

Peshawar city police said the bomb was exploded in open field. Police cordon off the area and started investigation.
