KARACHI: Ongoing valence wave seemed unstoppable as at least five more people perish in Karachi violence, raising the death toll to 13 in 24 hours, officials said on Monday.
According to police, some unidentified persons shot dead three persons in Khokarapar area. Two of the victims, Fahim and Tauseef, were real brothers and third deceased, Ahmad, was their friend. They were kidnapped few days ago.
In Tibet Centre area, dead body of a man was recovered whose hands and feet were tied with a rope. The identity of the deceased is not yet known. A dead body was also recovered from City Court area. Both of these men were killed after abduction.
In another incident of violence, a man was shot dead in Manghupir area while a man who was injured in firing incident in Baldia Town succumbed to his wounds at hospital. The deceased was indtified as Aziz.
In Defence 2 Talwar area, a police official, Javed, was shot dead by some unidentified persons while four people received injuries in firing incidents in Malir, Ghazi Town, Shah Faisal and Orangi.
