ISLAMABAD: Despite tall claims of Capital Development Authority (CDA), project of shifting of tube wells to solar energy could not be completed since passing of so many months.

CDA was of the view that the completion of the plan will enable water supply of two million gallons, on daily basis, and this will ensure resolution of water shortage in the city.
The water crisis in the city arose due to expansion of the federal capital, and lack of proper planning to deal with the increased demand of water.
CDA on numerous occasions said that the work to transfer all tube wells on solar system has been completed while all 134 tube wells of the capital would be shifted on solar but so far the project hangs in balance in this regard.
