Anti-narcotics court on Thursday issued non-bailable arrest warrants of Makhdoom Shahab-ud-Din, PPP-nominated candidate for premiership in ephedrine case. Besides Makhdoom Shahab-ud-Din, Raja Pervez Ashraf and Qamar Zaman Kaira have also submitted their nomination papers as covering candidates.
The meeting held a detailed and comprehensive discussion on the situation arised out of issuing non-bailable arrest warrants of Makhdoom Shahab-ud-Din by an Anti-narcotics court.
Reliable source told Online that Raja Pervez Ashraf would be PPP and allies candidate for the PM office. However, officially the candidate would be disclosed at 11:00 am on Friday.
The meeting was attended by PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Babar Ghauri and Haider Rizwi of MQM, ANP’s Afrasiab Khattak, FATA parliamentary leader Muneer Khan Orakzai, Israrullah Zehri of PNP, Syed Khurshid Shah, Mian Manzoor Wattoo, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira and others.
