7 classrooms for 900 students in IHK school

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, the higher secondary school in Khaag has only seven classrooms for almost 900 students, resulting in the immense hardships for the students as well as general staff.
The higher secondary school in Khaag presently has a roll of 883 students. Out of which 500 students are studying in 9th and 10th class. In the seven classrooms only 9th and 10th classes are accommodated while rest of 383 students are being taught in the open.

A teacher of the school wishing anonymity said that the authorities had shown lukewarm response towards the problem.
“The school has only seven teachers for 883 students,” he added.
Students undergoing education in higher secondary school Khaag claim that school is home to students of 15 villages and nowadays getting admission in the school has become almost impossible.
