Though the dean of department of social sciences, Quaid-e-Azam University, namely Dr Aitzaz is performing his duties as the acting dean, the research institute for history and culture has been facing acute problems in running its administrative affairs.
Sources said that a junior officer has been given the seat of Director General of the institute and this appointment was made out of turn.
According to an important officer of the institute, an advertisement was published in newspapers, two years ago, asking for applications for the post of dean of the research institute, and the applications were short-listed, it seems that the university administration lacks sincerity to proceed in this regard.
However, the officer observed that final decision of the appointment was expected to be taken within a month.
Spokesperson Quaid-e-Azam University was contacted to take his stance on the issue but he could not be reached.
