With the collaboration of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Capital Development Authority (CDA), 39 teams participated in the 14 days long event which concluded with colorful ceremony.
In final, ATV batting first and make105 runs with 5 wickets with the help of Khurram Riaz who score 63 runs with seven massive sixes. Nasir Khattak took 3 wickets for 23 runs from Bureaus XI side.
In reply, Bureaus XI failed to chase the target and made 96 runs with 3 wickets in allocated 8 overs. Mudassar Ali 41 was the main scorer from Bureaus XI.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira was the chief guest in the concluding ceremony who distributed prizes to participants while Member National Assembly Asghar Jutt, President National Press Club Farooq Faisal, Secretary Shahryar Khan, Secretary Organising Committee Afzal Javed and large number of families of journalists were also present on the occasion.
Qamar Zaman Kaira also announce Rs 0.1 million for winning and losing teams and Rs 0.1 million for the sports committee of National Press Club.
Speaking on the occasion, federal minister said that National Press Club held many programs to discuss the different problems faced by the society adding that NPC also played their vital role for the promotion of sports in the county.
Kaira said that exhibition cricket match between members of parliaments and NPC will be held soon and this tournament also provides the healthy environment for the journalist community and their families.
