DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Security forces early this morning conducted a cordon and search operation in Juma Gul, Tormazdak, Shadi Khail and Aba Khail areas of FR Tank.

The operation was conducted to clear the areas of small intermittent pockets and hideouts which were used by miscreants for carrying out criminal activities like planting Improvised Explosives Devices (IEDs), target killing, kidnapping and car lifting.

Security forces apprehended number of suspects and miscreants, few of them were also required by the police in different cases. A cache of arms, ammunition and IED making material were also recovered.

The operation by Security Forces further consolidated the foothold of Security forces in the area and assured the locals of their unparallel support. The locals supported and appreciated the Security Forces in their efforts for clearing the area from militants and miscreants and assured their full cooperation for maintenance of peace and elimination of militancy. Life as a whole remained peaceful in the area.
