MINGORA: The local police managed to arrest a Taliban commander from Tehsil Matta of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, officials said on Sunday.

According to officials, the police conducted raid in Kala Kot area of Tehsil Matta and arrested a prominent commander of the terrorists, Barkat Ali.

After taking Barkat Ali into custody, the police informed that he was involved in many heinous crimes including blowing of many schools during 2008.

The held terrorist commander was shifted to an unknown place for further interrogation.
