Pak HC, Indian Home secretary discuss modalities of talks

NEW DELHI: Prior to talks between Home secretaries of Pakistan and India, Pakistani High Commissioner to India, Shahid Malik met Indian Home Secretary, R K Singh here on Wednesday.
Sources said that this was a good will meeting but the two officials had a thirty minutes long discussion on matters that would be discussed in the proposed talks between Indo-Pak interior secretaries.

The secretary level talks are due to be held on May 24 and May 25, in Islamabad. According to sources, the two secretaries are expected to sign a free visa agreement, and permit traders’ access to five instead of three cities. On April 25, Indian cabinet gave green signal for signing the agreement.
The free visa agreement will benefit the population on both sides. Sources told Online Indian delegation would also demand Pakistan to present the accused of Mumbai Attacks into courts and to speed up the case proceedings against them.
