KARACHI: The ongoing target-killing spree claimed another life on Wednesday as a political party man was shot dead in Orangi town area, officials said.
According to media reports quoted officials, Hasnain Malik, an activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, was gunned down by unknown attackers riding two motor bikes in Sector 15 of the Orangi Town.

The murder sowed panic in the area as frightened shopkeepers closed all business activities following the incident.
Reports said Hasnain Malik’s son, Altaf Malik was also assassinated in the same area last year.
With enhanced snap checking, extra police contingents were deployed in Orangi Town, a Pashtun-dominated locality of Karachi.
Hours after MQM worker’s murder, unknown riders hurled hand grenade at a roadside hotel in Quaidabad area of Karachi on Wednesday, killing at least three people. Police said that the miscreants managed to flee after the attack. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
