LAHORE: Government has not any vision to decide in the national interests. Verdict of the parliament should be given priority regarding opening of NATO supplies rather Defence Cabinet Committee (DCC) make any decision single-handedly.

The Senior Vice Chairman of PTI Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said this during a press conference on Monday. He said that the central political committee of PTI would meet soon to evolve the future line of action in this regard, in which Chairman Imran Khan would be given a proposal to convene a national conference on the issue of reopening supply route for NATO forces.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi asked that whether DCC can overrule the parliament or not. He said that what happened to resolution passed by the parliament for stopping drone attacks and unconditional apology by US on Salalah assault for opening supplies.

There are some information that the Pakistani Ambassador Sherry Rehman tried to negotiate the second rate apology but Pakistan has lost the opportunity due to delay in reaching any decision.

“Foreign Minister Khar said that if we not open the supplies , it will create problems for Pakistan. I ask them that the government had not aware of it earlier. When Pakistan closed supplies , Defence Minister did not knew that it would be violation of international law. Was there , any kind of treaty present on that occasion”, he added.

He said that Chicago Summit would be very important to decide the future of Afghanistan so President Zardari must participate it . Earlier Pakistan did not take part in the meetings held at Germany and Turkey.
