Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed administered oath to five judges, who were recently confirmed upon completion of period as additional judges of LHC.
Those confirmed include: Justice Altaf Ibrahim Qureshi, Justice Abdul Sattar Asghar, Justice Mehmood Maqbool, Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan and Justice Ameer Bhatti.
LHC judges, federal and provincial law officers and senior lawyers attended the ceremony held at the LHC premises.
Meanwhile Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Qazi Faiz Essa administered the oath to three confirmed judges Justice Abdul Qadir Mengal, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice M Hashim Khan Kakar.
President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday had confirmed three judges of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) and five of the Lahore High Court (LHC), while approved one-year extension for four additional judges of the LHC.
