Those who were present included Haji Muhammad Adeel, Mr. Muhammad Azam Khan Hoti, Mr. Shahi Syed, Mr. Zahid Khan, Mr. Ilyas Ahmad Bilour, Mr. Afrasiab Khattak, Mr. Abdul Nabi Bangash, Advocate Muhammad Daud Khan Achakzai, Mr. Amar Jeet, Ms. Farah Aqil and Ms. Zahida Khan.
Chairman of Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari, Leader of the House in Senate Muhammad Jehangir Bader, Mr. Farook H. Naek, Senator Islamuddin Shaikh, Senator Sardar Ali and Spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar were also present.
Spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar while briefing about the meeting said that the meeting discussed current political situation obtaining in the country with special reference to the latest developments, FATA reforms and the coalition matters.
The President during meeting also referred to the resolution passed by the provincial assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa urging the President to undertake series of reforms in FATA.
Discussing current political situation, Co-Chairman President Asif Ali Zardari said the Party would continue its forward march guided by the constitution of the country and the policies laid by its great leaders.
He thanked the ANP for its unswerving support as coalition partner to the Government of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and for its contributions towards political stability and upholding rule of law.
He said that the political wisdom and maturity displayed by the partners of the Government while dealing with all the challenges in the way of our forward march was really commendable.
The President lauded the sacrifices made by the ANP along with the PPP in the fight against militancy.
Discussing recent developments, the Co-Chairman said that the Party would employ all democratic and constitutional means available to it while responding to the current situation.
The President also hosted lunch for the participants.
