Rain, snow predicted in quake-hit areas in 48 hrs ISLAMABAD: Met Office on Friday predicted rain and snow over high mountains in the earthquake-affected areas in the next couple of days. Spokesman of the Met Office informed that a westerly wave is expected to approach upper parts of the country on today (Saturday) morning which may cause scattered rain with snow over high mountains in NWFP, Upper Punjab and Kashmir in next couple of days. Due to this weather system rain and thunderstorm with snow over high mountains likely in earthquake affected areas including Muzaffarabad, Rawlakot, Bagh, Chikothi, Abbottabad, Balakot, Mansehra, Batagram, Kohistan, Shangla, Kaghan, Naran and adjoining areas during next 2 days. Minimum temperature of -05-digree Celsius was recorded for Sakardu. |
