Balochistan govt to be provided with 2000 FC men: Sherpao

ISLAMABAD: Ruling out another military operation in Balochistan, interior minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said after formal plea by provincial government as many as 2000 Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel would be provided to Balochistan.

Sherpao expressed these views in a ceremony held at Capital Development Authority (CDA) headquarters Wednesday.

Referring to his recent Balochistan visit, he informed that issues pertaining to development of the largest federating unit of the country with special reference issues of law and order were discussed.

On Karachi bombing blasts, he informed that two accused detained in connection of Karachi blasts had confessed to have links with Balochistan Liberation Army.

Citing to quake-affectees influx, he went on to say nearly 60000 affectees came to federal capital and 16000 were residing in relief camps established by the CDA.

He reassured that government was sparing no efforts for early rehabilitation of the devastated earthquake affectees.
