Majid hints creation of Forward Block in PML CHAKWAL: The senior vice president of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Lt. General (R) Abdul Majeed Malik said that the preparation of the Forward Block in PML are in full swing. He informed that he was offered for heading that forward block but he refused, adding "I don`t believe in destructive politics". Talking to the media men on Sunday, Majid Malik said members National Assembly are joining that block in a great number as they were ignored in the Local Bodies Elections recently held all over the country. The members were not happy as their opponents were adjusted in the elections, which was against the essential manifesto of PML, he added. PML leader opined that the situation would be clear in the days to come as the activities in connection with the creation of this block were limited due to the earthquake. He said that a strong PML is a guarantee of democracy. "I suggested in a meeting of Senior Executive Committee in the presence of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and President PML Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain held before elections that the nomination of the PML District Nazmeen in Non Parties Election would increase rift among the members", he commented. Abdul Majeed Malik praised the efforts by Pakistan Army in the situation rendered by the killer earthquake which has increased the confidence of people over Army. |
