Aspirants' names for Nazim slots to be finalized after consensus: Shujaat

ISLAMABAD: PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain in a bid to dodge rifts within the party has decided to nominate the district nazims throughout country's districts with mutual consensus.

Flanked by PML secretary general Mushahid Hussain Syed, state minister Amin Aslam, MNA Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Makhdoom Ahmad Alam Anwar and others, Chaudhry Shujaat while talking to a high level meeting here at PML House on Wednesday said that decision of fielding districts nazims in Attock, Mandi Bahaudin, Hafiz Abad and Rahim Yar Khan would be taken after reaching consensus.

He made it clear that decision in the backdrop of nomination of district nazims could not yet taken, however it would be finalized within two days.

A high level meeting will be convened in which chief minister Punjab would participate, he said adding that decision of majority would be kept aloft while finalizing decision about nomination of district nazims.
