President awards Quaid-e-Azam Police Medals, President Police Medals on Independence Day

ISLAMABAD: President General Pervez Musharraf has conferred 12 awards of Quaid-e-Azam police medals (QPM) and 34 awards of President Police Medals (PPM) for gallantry to 46 police officials on the Independence Day.

Of the 12 QPMs 10 have been awarded posthumously to police officials of constables to sub inspector ranks.

Following is the list of police officials to whom the awards have been conferred.

Quaid-e-Azam police medals (Punjab): SI Muhammad Jehangir Khan, SI Muhammad Ehsan-ul-Waheed, HC Muhammad Sharif, constable Tahir Mehmood, constable Muhammad Ramzan.

President police medals (Punjab): constable Zahoor Hussain, DIG Muhammad Altab Qamar, SP Raja Munawar Hussain, ASP Muhammad Inkasar Khan, DSP Abdul Rehman Shah, DSP Mirza Muhammad Amir Baig, DSP Habib Ahmed Khan, Inspector Ali Akbar, inspector Muhammad Zahid Majeed, inspector Muhammad Iqbal Chandia, SI Muhammad Ashraf, SI Muhammad Boota, SI Muhammad Alamgir, ASI Muhammad Shafique, head constable Muhammad siddique, head constable Muhammad Ismail, head constable Muhammad Arshad, constable Abdul Ghaffar, constable Zafar Hussain, constable Muhammad Sarwar, constable Bashir Hussain, constable Muhammad Usman.

President police medals (Sindh): SSP Sanaullah Abbasi, ASP Imran Shaukat.

Quaid-e-Azam police medals (NWFP): constable Saif-ur-Rehman, ASI Khaista Khan.

President police medals (NWFP): DIG Attaullah Khan Wazir, SSP Syed Akhtar Ali Shah, ASP Muhammad Waqas Nazir, DSP Shaukat Ali Khan, DSP Syed Abdul Kalam, Inspector Jehangir Khan, head constable Gohar Shah.

Quaid-e-Azam police medals (Balochistan): SI Manzoor Ahmed Shahwani, Head constable Gull Muhammad, constable Jamil Ahmed, SP Ghulam Mehmood Dogar.

President police medals (Balochistan): DSP Tajamul Shah, SI Mahewal Khan, constable Ghulam Haider.
