M.P Bhandara for protection of environment

NATHIAGALI: PML MNA M.P Bhandara said the protection of the environment and conservation of forests is not only important from the religious point of view but also essential for a healthy society.

He expressed these views on Saturday with the participants of an awareness walk organized by Nathiagali resident council with the collaboration of shell Pakistan Ltd. and unilever (walls).

He further said that the protection of the environment is not the responsibility of the government, but the community is also supposed to contribute to this cause.

The former senator PML (N) and chairman Nathiagali residents council Gen. Retied Saeed Qadir in his address said the constant explosion in the population growth should be matched with a similar peace awareness and environmental education for the protection of the forest and the environment.

Walk started from Nathiagali club, which is a 2-Km walk. Local citizens, tourists and school children also participated in the awareness walk.
