Work on laying of Mirpurkhas-Khokrapar railway track accelerates HYDERABAD: Laying of Mirpurkhas-Khokhrapar railway track has been accelerated following fresh directives issued by President Gen Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. Well placed sources in exclusive chat with Online on Monday said that work on laying of new railway track from Khokhrapar to Mirpurkhas was scheduled to be completed by July 2005 while construction work of railway laying track from Mirpurkhas to Khokhrapar would be completed by December this year. Sources went to say that railways service would commence from January 2006 on Mirpurkhas-Khokhrapar and Khokhrapar- Mirpurkhas railway tracks. The government had allocated Rs. 10 billion for the purpose while the existing 8km track would be replaced. |
