National Highways & Motorway Police foil docoity bid

Lahore: National Highways & Motorway Police N-5 Central foiled an attempt of dacoity after heavy exchange of firing on National Highways in near Kamal Pur and also recovered 120 bottles of wine near Pattoki in different incident. In a separate event NH&MP reunited mentally retarded 8 year children with their parents.

According to a hand out issued, NH&MP officers Tariq Sattar ,Qaiser Abbass and Ilyass Ahmed were on their routine patrolling on national highways near Kamal Pur, when a road user told them that dozens of dacoits have surrounded a Basti near Kamal Pur adjacent to national highways and are looting the people .

On this information, the officers of NH&MP rushed to the site. As they reached the spot, the dacoits opened firing on them. In reply, the officers of motorway police also opened fire on the dacoits. During exchange of firing the dacoits fled away by taking the advantage of the darkness of night and firing. The people of Basti (Colony) appreciated the immediate response of Motorway Police and foiled dacoity.
