All matters settled with MQM: Durrani

KARACHI: Sindh Local Bodies Minister, Agha Siraj Durrani has informed that all matters related to LB Elections have been settled with Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM).

Talking to media men here after Sindh Assembly session, Agha Siraj Durrani said that the decision for the appointment of administrators has been taken and an amended bill regarding local bodies has been finalized.

Responding to a question, he said that administrators would be government employees.

The Sindh Minister said that if matters were not settled with MQM then it would have been difficult for PPP to run coalition government with MQM.

He said that the Local Bodies elections would be held by the end of May under the supervision of the Election Commission of Pakistan, adding one month required to hold election.
