NO US fighter jets infiltrated into Pakistan airspace: Embassy

Islamabad: US embassy has denied media reports that US fighter jets infiltrated Pakistani airspace over Mohmand Agency bordering Afghanistan.

A national daily newspaper published an article on Sunday claiming U.S. fighter jets were seen flying over Mohmand tribal region bordering Afghanistan on Saturday and flew almost 50 kilometers into Pakistani airspace.

"These accusations are entirely false. No U.S. fighter aircraft flew over Mohmand tribal region as alleged in the article. Coalition and U.S. air operations in Afghanistan conducted along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border region are closely coordinated with Pakistan’s Air Force to de-conflict airspace and prevent incidents like those alleged.

We refer questions concerning the integrity of Pakistani airspace to the Pakistan Air Force", the US embassy said in a statement issued on Monday.
