PPPP edging towards confrontational politics: Sheikh Rasheed

ISLAMABAD: President Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has stated that PPPP- led coalition Government was heading towards political confrontation and could be derailed anytime.

Talking to private TV channel here on Saturday, he stated that, after the court’s verdict on NRO, PPPP’ s leadership has been promoting feelings that Judiciary was carrying trial of PPPP adding that the popularity of PPPP wouldn’t be affected with resignation of few of its ministers.

He also suggested that the ruling government was left with two options; either it would have to face the courts or it would (should) surrender itself, adding that the political scenario in the country has reached the position as it was during the regime of former President Musharraf.
