PAC sub committee warns secretary communication over his wrong attitude against audit authorities

ISLAMABAD : Sub committee of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) had expressed grave concern over the use of foul language by communication secretary against members of committee and audit authorities and warned him to change his attitude failing which matter will be reported to prime minister.

Sub committee met here Wednesday under its chairperson Yasmin Rehman to review accounts of ministry of communication and NHA.

Committee directed communication ministry to ensure disposal of all audit objections within a month and furnish report in this regard.

Committee directed National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to dispose of the cases of ministry of communication soon on the very pattern of cases of politicians where they show haste in disposing of the cases.

Committee directed secretary communication to meet audit authorities to settle the matters related to purchase of land worth Rs 150 million by NHA for motorway police and send report to committee within a week in this connection.

Committee also reviewed the irregularities committed during the award of contracts for tree plantation along the motor way.
