SC adjourns several cases without hearing on the eve of black day

ISLAMABAD : Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned several cases without hearing on the eve of black day Tuesday.

Several advocates including Zulfiqar advocate requested Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry in bench No 1 of Supreme Court (SC) on behalf of Supreme Court Bar Association that former dictator through proclamation of emergency on November 3, 2007 suspended the constitution and human rights, therefore, the lawyer community was observing black day and the lawyers were staging boycott of the courts Tuesday. "You are requested to adjourn the hearing of the cases ", they said.

The CJP after the court interval issued directives to re-list the remaining cases.
