Gilani assures AJK PM of full cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has assured the newly elected Prime Minister of Azad Jammu Kashmir Raja Farooq Haidar to cooperate fully with his government.

The assurance was given in a meeting between the two leaders held here on Friday on the sidelines of high-level meeting regarding law and order situation in the country.

Raja Farooq during the meeting thanked Gilani and the federal government for remaining impartial in the election of the prime minister.

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Balochistan Chief Minister Nawaz Aslam Raeesani and NWFP Chief Minister Ameer Haidar Khan Hoti were also present in the meeting and congratulated Raja Farooq Haidar over his election as AJK Prime Minister.

During the meeting, Gilani assured Raja Haidar of full cooperation and said the federal government would continue every type of cooperation in the reconstruction and development of earthquake-hit areas and Mangla Dam affectees.

He congratulated Farooq Haidar over his election as AJK Prime Minister and said "development and prosperity of Azad Kashmir is included in our priority, saying, stability is must in Azad Kashmir and all political parties should play their role in this regard".
