’Government attentive to the community demands’

PESHAWAR: To provide quality education in Bajaur agency, Government of Pakistan has completed the renovation work in Government Management Sciences College Khar, while for provision of clean drinking water; seven schemes were rehabilitated in Bajaur. This will benefit more than 20,000 people of the affected area of Bajaur Agency.

These projects were identified by the community members of the respective villages in meetings held with local Political Administration, because growing militancy in the area badly damaged the local infrastructure. Therefore, the Political administration ordered immediate work on the execution of these schemes. The renovations of college include rehabilitation of the college’s Boundary Wall Raising, White Washing and washrooms e.t.c as well as provide key equipment like computers and sports items. While water supply system restore in Agency Headquarter Hospital, Jar Mula Killi, Khar bazaar, Civil Colony Khar, Tawhidabad, Chenagai and Ghuzano Shah and other places.

During the work completion ceremony, The Political Agent, Bajaur Mr.Zakir Hussain Afridi said that government is attentive to the community demands. He said that “undertaking projects for the greater benefit of ordinary citizens is the major interest and responsibility of the political administration”. He further said.

During the ceremony, Principal of the college, Mr. Mussanif Khan said that “after providing basic facilities to the college, the students are taking keen interest in their studies; it is a positive change for the students who have suffered from unforgettable situations.

We are very thankful to the Political Administration for rehabilitating the college.”Agency Headquarter Hospital’s MS, Mr. Bawar Khan said that, “As a result of military operation in the area most of the infrastructures were damaged or out of use. It is a great step taken by Political Administration to rehabilitate the drinking water supply schemes which is obviously a direct support for the poor communities including female and children of Bajaur Agency”.
