Journalists stage walk out of NA against police aggression ISLAMABAD: Print and electronic media reporters held a protest and walk out from press gallery to condemn police torture on a private TV channel reporter in Lahore. Deputy speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi condemned the event and senator Babar Awan assured to take stringent actions against responsible. According to details during National Assembly session here on Tuesday, print and electronic media representatives boycotted the session against Elite force police’s torture on a pvt TV reporter in front of a political leader house. Pakistan peoples party ministers Nazar Gondal, Mehreen Anwar, Azeem Daultana (Parliamentary secretary on information) and chairperson BISP Farzana Raja tried to negotiate with media personals after walk out and assured a transparent inquiry from government. Deputy speaker NA Faisal Kundi condemned police attitude and demanded investigation report to be presented in the house he said independent media is very important for parliamentary apex. |
