Govt to extend every possible help to NGOs rendering valuable healthcare services: Neelam Jabbar

LAHORE: Minister of Population Welfare Punjab, Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry has said that provision of the standardized healthcare facilities to all segments of society at their doorstep is the top priority of the government and it would extend every possible help to such NGOs/ trusts which are rendering valuable national service and playing noble role in providing better healthcare facilities to the people for the fulfillment of their public welfare oriented projects.

While talking to the delegations of doctors, NGOs, Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry has said that government is promoting public-private partnership as the private healthcare institutions working under NGOs/ trusts.

She said that interest free loans are being provided to the private practitioners/ NGOs to establish their own clinics and hospitals whereas scope of the concerned institutions is also being enhanced.

She said that private healthcare and educational institutions playing active role for the promotion of latest education and healthcare facilities.

She hoped that private sector would establish their healthcare institutions in small towns and remote areas so that modern treatment facilities could be available to the majority of the masses at affordable prices even free of cost.

Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry said that the government was undertaking effective measures to prevent fire-burning incidents, besides providing medical treatment facilities to the burnt patients.

She assured all out cooperation to be provided to the NGOs for holding of Seminars/workshops to create awareness for the general public regarding treatment of burnt patients and cooperation of other countries would be welcomed for training of doctors and paramedics in the field.
