2 NATO planes come under fire by tribesmen

WANA: Two NATO’s Gunship airplanes which violated Pakistan’s border areas on Friday in North and South Waziristan were managed to escape after firing by tribesmen who took positions on the mountains of Shawwal.

Two Gunship airplanes of NATO violated Pakistan’s airspace on Friday and hovered over the areas of South and North Waziristan including Sayedgai, Shawwal and Barmal. The tribesmen who took position on the high mountainous areas of Shawwal opened firing from Anti Air Craft Guns.

The local notables told that the NATO forces violated Pakistan’s airspace several times while the ground violation also happened once and the allied forces targeted innocent tribesmen based in Afghanistan.

They said that the NATO forces were warned several times over violation of airspace and the tribesmen have no choice but to install Anti Aircraft Gun to safeguard their soil.

The tribal notables also claimed that they shot down two US drones over violation of airspace on the other day and the wreckage fell in Afghanistan. They urged NATO forces to avoid the violation of border areas of Pakistan, otherwise, they would also shoot down their planes.
