Anti state elements pursuing vicious bids to fan ethnic violence in the country: Rehman A Malik ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister advisor on interior Rehman A Malik has said miscreants are pursuing vicious attempts to fuel ethnic violence in the country adding government will not allow them to succeed at any cost. “Miscreants are trying to incite ethnic riots in the country. They will not be allowed to succeed in their nefarious designs at any cost. Anti state elements will be dealt with iron hand”, Rehman A Malik said this while talking to media men here Tuesday. Regarding FATA situation he said government had taken steps to ensure peace and security therein. Government writ would be established at every cost, he vowed. He went on to say Pakistan was not in any way involved in suicide attack on Indian embassy in Kabul. “We categorically deny such allegations”, he underscored. If Afghanistan is secure then peace will come in the region”, he remarked. The material used in Karachi bomb blasts was too much different from the material used in other major blasts and these were not linked to each other. Positive headway has been made in the probe into Karachi and Islamabad bomb blasts, he remarked. Some persons on the suspicion of their involvement in Islamabad bomb blast had been arrested, he told. They were being investigated in this respect, he indicated. Karachi had been put on high alert and rangers had been deployed in sensitive areas so that peace and security could be ensured , he informed. Lauding the steps taken by MQM chief Altaf Hussain and ANP president Asfandyar Wali on the eve of Karachi blasts he said both the leaders had played pivotal role in keeping the people peaceful. |
