Aitzaz files application for PPP ticket to contest bye elections ISLAMABAD: President Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and Central leader Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Aitzaz Ahsan has submitted application for Party ticket in PPP Secretariate to contest by-elections from constituency NA-55. Aitzaz Ahsan has decided to take part in the by elections from NA-55 and submitted application in PPP Secretariate for Party ticket in this respect. Assistant Advocate of Aitzaz Ahsan Gohar Ali Khan has also taken nomination papers of Aitzaz from District Returning Officer Rawalpindi. Earlier, talking to Private TV Channel, Aitzaz Ahsan said that the Parliament would take decision about future of President Pervez Musharraf, adding that, legal fraternity are satisfied with meeting between Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari and Quaid Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said that the deposed judges who refused to take oath under Provincial Constitutional Ordinance (PCO) would be reinstated according to Murree accord. President SCBA added that he would contest by-elections from NA-55 if ticket were awarded to him by PPP. He said PML-N has hinted that he would not raise his candidate from NA-55. He said that he has no differences with Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari by saying that he is worker of PPP and would remain. The President house, he said, had become epicenter of conspiracies, adding that, the situation would be improve if President Musharraf stops hitching conspiracies against democracy. There is no reality in allegations leveled by Former Chief Minister Sindh Arbab Ghulam Rahim, President SCBA Aitzaz Ahsan maintained. |
